About the author

Phillip Levin is a Ph.D. student in theoretical physics in the Department of Physics at Arizona State University. He earned his M.S. in physics from California State University, Los Angeles and his B.S. in physics from the University of California, San Diego. He has conducted research at CERN, UCLA, and the University of California, Riverside.

He is interested in various topics in physics, theology, and philosophy. A general theme guiding his research is an interest in both the fundamental and complex, and how the latter arises from the former.
